Maxie Taxie one-tap SOS emergency button

Safety is not a feature bolted on at the end — it is the core of every Maxie Taxie trip. The one-tap SOS button is designed so that help reaches the people who matter most within seconds, not minutes.

What happens the moment you press SOS

As soon as a rider or driver activates SOS, three things happen almost simultaneously:

  • Your exact live location begins streaming to the emergency contacts you have enlisted inside the Maxie Taxie app.
  • Those contacts receive an immediate alert and can open a live map showing your position, driver details and trip status on their own phone.
  • Our 24/7 safety desk is notified in the same second so trained operators can monitor the situation and escalate if needed.

You do not need to dial a number, explain your location, or stay on a call while under stress. One press is enough to put eyes on your journey.

Who can see your location

Only the contacts you deliberately add as emergency contacts inside the app, plus our safety desk, receive the live stream. Your data is not broadcast publicly. Contacts see a clear SOS screen with map, vehicle and driver information so they can act quickly — call you, call local authorities, or stay connected until you are safe.

Available for riders and drivers

SOS is not limited to passengers. Drivers also have the same one-tap protection. Whether you are being dropped off late at night or you are behind the wheel in an unfamiliar area, the same network of family contacts and the safety desk stands ready.

We continuously improve response times and map accuracy so that when you need help, the people who care about you — and the team watching every trip — are already looking at the same screen.
