Every active Maxie Taxie trip is watched by systems and people whose only job is to notice when something does not look right — often before the rider or driver realises there is a problem.
What the monitoring desk sees
Our safety desk receives real-time signals from the fleet: route progress, speed patterns, prolonged stops, unexpected detours and SOS activations. When the system flags an anomaly, trained operators review the trip and can reach out to the rider, the driver, or both.
- Route deviations that fall outside expected corridors trigger an early review.
- Long unexplained halts raise a priority alert.
- Off-pattern behaviour — unusual stops or sudden changes of direction — is prioritised for human attention.
People behind the screens
Technology surfaces the signal; people decide the response. Operators are trained to treat every flag seriously, to avoid unnecessary panic while never ignoring a genuine risk. They can open a direct channel, share live location with emergency contacts, or coordinate with local authorities when the situation requires it.
Why continuous monitoring matters
Most trips are uneventful. The value of a 24/7 desk is that the rare moments that are not remain visible. Riders and drivers do not have to remember a hotline number or explain their position under stress — the system and the team already have context.
As we expand into new cities, the same monitoring standards travel with us. Safety is not regional; it is the product.
