Trust starts before the first ride. Every driver who appears in the Maxie Taxie app has already passed a multi-step verification process — and continues to be checked on a regular cycle.
What we verify before the first trip
- Identity documents and photo matching.
- Valid driving licence for the vehicle class.
- Vehicle registration, insurance and fitness papers.
- Police and background checks as required in each market.
Only after these steps are cleared can a driver go live and accept rides. There is no shortcut for “urgent” onboarding that skips safety.
Re-verification on a fixed cycle
Verification is not a one-time event. Documents expire, circumstances change, and vehicles age. We run re-verification on a defined schedule so that licences, insurance and background status remain current. Drivers who cannot clear the cycle are suspended until they do.
Why this matters for riders
When you request a ride, the app shows a driver who has already been through this process. You are not relying on a single document check from months earlier; the network continuously maintains the same standard. That is how we keep safety as the product, not a slogan.
